Abigail Marie Clancy Bio

 Abigail Marie Clancy (born 10 January 1986) is an English lingerie and catwalk model, and television personality. She was second in the final of Britain's Next Top Model (cycle 2 in 2006) and also won series 11 in Strictly Come Dancing (2013). Since 2015, she is Britain's Next Top Model. Clancy was born on July 7 1965 in Liverpool. She is the fourth of four children of Karen (nee Sullivan), Geoffrey Thomas Clancy. Clancy was raised in Woolton (a suburb of Liverpool) and was a student at St Mary's Primary and St Julie's Catholic High Schools. Clancy founded the girl band Genie Queen with Andy McCluskey of Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark. Clancy was named as one thirteen finalist on Living TV’s Britain’s Next Top Model in summer 2006. He competed for a modelling contract for 10 weeks. Clancy, along with fellow contestant Lianna Foller was selected to appear on the final runway show. Clancy eventually became the runner up. Clancy was featured on Britain's Next Top Model and has since been modelled by a variety of newspapers and magazines. Clancy was the model of the Triumph Bonneville Motorbike on the May 2007 cover of Arena magazine. Clancy was selected to be featured in Sports Illustrated magazine in the 2010 swimsuit edition. Clancy was featured because of her sporting connection to Peter Crouch. Clancy was photographed by the magazine wearing only bodypaint to appear as if she were wearing an England shirt. Yu Tsai took the photographs. Clancy was featured in Umbro's 2010 campaign. She was wearing an England shirt, and was joined by women of the winning teams. Clancy was seen walking with the Giles Deacon Ready-To-Wear Giles Spring 2011, collection. Clancy also appeared on Elite Model Management: New York division's website in March 2011. In July 2013, she was part London designer Hasan Hejazi's campaign. It featured a fashion editorial by Absynth Photographic as well as an upcoming fashion film by Gabriel Gettman. Clancy also modeled for the August 2011 UK Esquire cover shot by Solve Sundsbo. Clancy was among the featured models in LOVE magazine’s Advent Calendar, alongside SukiWaterhouse and Cara Delevingne. In July 2014, Clancy appeared on the cover of British Marie Claire and in March 2015, she was featured in British Elle. Abbey Clancy and Sophia Crouch Their daughter, Sophia Crouch, worked together to launch Lipsy's AW'19 collection. In January 2020 the collection for AW19 was officially launched in the UAE.
