Moss was born on the 13th of February, 1977. He is an American football player.
He was a former American footballer who played for 14 seasons in the National
Football League (NFL) and was a part of the Minnesota Vikings and Oakland
Raiders and the New England Patriots and Tennessee Titans. He is widely
regarded as the best wide receiver of all time, along with Jerry Rice, he holds
the NFL single-season touchdown reception record (23 in 2007) in addition to
the NFL single-season touchdown reception record for rookies (17 in 1998) and
is second on the NFL all-time regular season touchdown reception list, with
156. Moss is known for his ability make contested catches. The term
"mossed" is a term that is now a part of the football vocabulary,
became widely used due to the fact that he was a successful. Post-football, he
began working for ESPN as a studio analyst for its Sunday NFL Countdown and
Monday Night Countdown programs. Moss was born in Rand, West Virginia. He was a
student at DuPont High School. It was one of two schools which later became
Riverside High School. There the student excelled at basketball, football,
baseball, track, and other sports. Randy was also part of the school’s debate
team. On the football field, Moss led the DuPont Panthers to two state
championships in 1992 and 1993. His primary position was wide receiver.
However, he also played free safety, punted kickoffs, and was the team’s punter
and kicker. In 1994, he was honoured with the Kennedy Award as the West
Virginia Football Player of the Year. Parade magazine named him to their
All-American high school football teams in the year 1995. In 2009 they named
him one the 50 greatest high-school football players of all-time.
